Walk with Mayor Gray’s Ward 6 Liaisons this Wed., June 22

In lieu of this month’s office hours, I’ve asked Chris FitzGerald and Brittney Wright, Mayor Gray’s Ward 6 Outreach and Service Specialists, to join me for a walk around the neighborhood this Wed., June 22, 6:30 pm. Please join us! Chris and Brittney may also bring some agency representatives with them (DDOT, DPW, etc.).

We will begin the walk in front of the new Blue Star Memorial sign on the southeast corner of 17th Street SE and Potomac Ave. SE. Please bring your questions and concerns. And if you would like us to walk by a particular problem area in 6B09, please post below or e-mail me.

See you on Wednesday!

    Hi Brian –

Would it be possible to include part of the RFK/Anacostia River Trail? The area was essentially trashed sometime last weekend. DPW workers were trying hard to clean it up Monday evening, but the broken glass, bottles, trash, leftover charcoals and even a few grills were strewn about. I think we need to prevent this type of disgrace from happening instead of just having workers be forced to clean up a mess with other root causes.

    Regards,

    Erinn

      Hey Erinn,

Thanks for the comment. I don’t think we will have time to get down to the trail but I will mention it to Chris and Brittney. I’ll also alert the Washington Convention and Sports Authority and let them know the tailgating trash is getting out of hand.
